VAINQUIERE SERIES | YANIC NYS

The first works in the VAINQUIERE series were made in late 2022.

The series is characterized by a sober background in Naples yellow, topped with coarsely painted, sober geometric black shapes in acrylic paint, and fine - usually illegible - pencil text.

The black shapes find their place organically on the surface and are balanced by the fine pencil lines.

The first works were fairly small (40 x 50 cm).

Later, larger works (100 x 70 cm) were added to the series.

The series is never finished and new works (usually 3 to 6 per session) are added as inspiration strikes.
